James Jackson Toth has a special talent. You don't have to love folk music, or even really like it for that matter, but regardless, Toth creates an audible landscape, with poetic lyrics that make you laugh, make you wonder and, sometimes, make you kind of depressed. Bob Dylan is a more obvious influence, but Toth's voice is much more tolerable.
