Ten amiable instrumentals from bassist Philip D'Agostino. Inhabiting a sonic landscape somewhere between Bill Frisell's Americana and Medeski Martin & Wood's groove, D'Agostino's funk is soulful and his humor joyful. The songs don't wear out their welcome but still provide plenty of opportunity for D'Agostino's fellow musicians to shine. The bassist also contributes banjo, mandolin and—on the album's best track, "Colleen"-Rhodes piano.
