Kevin Barker is a folksy singer-songwriter from Brooklyn. His debut record You and Me takes on a James Taylor quality. He and his collection of fellow musicians are seldom plugged in with few drums in sight, making the album completely tolerable. We've got to restrain from giving Kevin Baker our ringing endorsement, though. Throughout his LP's eight songs, he covers no new ground nor does it charter any unclaimed territory lyrically.
