"Southern Gothic" is hip-hop, funk and rock mixed together to form one pretty awesome album. The best parallel is probably the Kentucky-based band Cage the Elephant, but The Constellations (ironically from out of Georgia) have their own sound that set them apart with lyrics that are a bit more risqué. Tom Waits fans can try the track, "Step Right Up."
