Laura Mann sounds like a bad version of Melissa Etheridge, kind of like Sheryl Crow. Her genre is meant to be rock, but it's nothing more than adult contemporary/country. Her album "Bow Tie and Rose Tattoo" has but one of eleven songs that's remotely OK; the music on "Just for Today" is pretty good, and her voice sounds better, a bit like Mazzy Star. But one mediocre song won't be enough to make most people listen to this album.
