Heat Wave.
The heat wave may not be over, but there is still plenty to love about the remaining summer weeks. Our area will play host to a handful of new concert venues in our area soon.
And just as the area is getting new places to see music, Origivation is mixing things up, too. It is my pleasure to introduce the new Origivation Certified program. Each month, we will highlight a great Philadelphia artist.
This month's is none other The War on Drugs, a Philly band making waves in the national music community. Be sure to check out our interview with front man Adam Granduciel and our review of their new record, Slave Ambient, in the pages of this issue.
We are also ecstatic to have such a star-studded lineup this month, headlined by the kings of indie, Death Cab for Cutie. We also have interviews with Jack's Mannequin, Fountains of Wayne, Scattered Trees and more.
As if that weren't enough, we have the lowdown on some of the new venues opening in town and where you can get a peanut butter bacon burger. Yep, we've got it all.
We hope you enjoy this month's issue. We can't wait to see you again in October.
